There are a few must have posters in the gig poster collecting world. This is most definitely one. The iconic Charlotte 1996 by Emek.
This poster is a cornerstone of any collection as sought after as any poster ever printed. Of course many know it to be a big entry in The Art Of Modern Rock.
Short Version: This is one of the top iconic Rock Posters ever. Pearl Jam at Memorial Stadium in Charlotte North Carolina Friday October 4th, 1996. The official high quality screen print on medium weight paper, printed with rich metallic gold ink. This poster is in MINT / NEAR MINT CONDITION. It has no signs of age whatsoever.
Incredible condition for any poster. Let alone a poster creeping up on 30 years old. Sharp corners, smooth edges, lays perfectly flat. Stored flat in archival conditions as all of my prints are.
Mylar, Archival Poster Board, Metal Drawer. There is one small spot on the left margin, I took two pictures of it, because it's a minor bump, and very difficult to find. Most would list this as dead mint. The main thing collectors are looking for with this print is the gold ink. Most prints I have seen tend to have scuffing in the gold hand.
Another aspect that makes this copy a rare find. There were only 300 of these printed. It's of course signed by Emek in the bottom right corner with a'96.
As far as we know there aren't Artist Proofs everywhere like we have somehow gotten used to. From my personal Emek collection..
It measures approximately 20" x 30" and it's ready to be framed, or put away as a slam dunk investment. It's a Pearl Jam.
